Bio
Brought up in Aberdeenshire, North East Scotland, of Scottish'/ Burmese heritage, Fiona works with experimental electronic production, voice, language and place to explore identity, heritage and belonging. Her debut album "No Man's Land" was written while re-locating between Brighton Uk, and Auckland, New Zealand, and was sung in a mixture of English, phrase-book Burmese and abstract vocal improvisations. Her latest project, Sand, Silt, Flint, was written during the lockdown of 2020-21, and is inspired by the language, follklore and rich balladry tradition of Aberdeenshire.
